About the Event
Together, we'll preserve food using both water-bath and pressure canning methods, giving you a practical introduction to the fundamentals of each. By the end of class, you'll have the confidence to start canning at home, and two jars of food you preserved yourself to take away and enjoy.
This class is led by Trevor Keavney, who first learned food preservation alongside his mother and grandmother in Portland, Oregon. He has refined those skills in diverse environments from cooking in urban kitchens, to homesteading on a farm in Oregon, and now preserving the harvest from his family's garden in Vallejo.
All students will receive a 10% discount on post-workshop purchases in our store. The minimum age for our workshops is 14 years old.
