Join us for an evening with Richard Keating, a Product Ambassador for the SF-based import company, The Japanese Pantry. We will taste and learn about barrel-aged soy sauces, sake-fermented vinegars, and hand-roasted sesame seeds and oil.

About The Maker
The Japanese Pantry is dedicated to bringing the finest artisan Japanese ingredients from throughout Japan to chefs and home cooks across the United States. In this Maker Spotlight we will be featuring 3 different multi-generational Japanese producers: Yugeta (soy sauce) Iio Jozo (vinegar), Wadaman (sesame seeds and oils).
Japan’s culinary tradition is built on a simple principle: exceptional ingredients. From the refinement of kaiseki to the simplicity of yakitori, the best Japanese cooking begins with products crafted from outstanding raw materials, generations of expertise, and a deep respect for tradition.
